Historic Henry rifle belonging to Texas Ranger Captain James B. Gillett (1856-1937). Gillett was a famous Ranger Captain who fought Apache and Commanche Indians as well as cattle thieves and outlaws. He was the city Marshal of El Paso, Texas and was known as a fearless lawman. His memoirs written in 1921 Six Years with the Texas Rangers is still in print today and was used as a textbook in schools in 17 states. This Henry rifle comes with a notarized affidavit from the Gillett family mentioning the gun by serial number. Rare Old West lawman historic rifle.
